how quickly life keeps passing away from me. Now heading into the last part of my life here, I remember more the days of my youth and many wonderful, happy times, yet also some sad and sorrowful times keep creeping into my awareness.
Just think of all the young girls back in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s who had one night stands and even more than one night stands with the King of Rock-in-Roll and actually got pregnant by him. Back in those days, abortion was not legal, but many of those girls most likely aborted their Elvis babies. What young girl could stand and have her Elvis baby without fear of something negative happening to her and the child? It most likely was something that had to be done away with, both the fact of it, and the memories of it just the same.
As time has went on since his death, so many have come out from the secrets of their closets and admitted to paternity law suits that did turn out positive, so they say, and everyone I have seen who has come out with their secret, regardless of how much money they say they were paid, they seem to be downtrodden ed or told they are liars, etc. There is one man who seems to be still standing who claims he has legal proof Elvis is his father, but many more, most likely, thousands of births have never surfaced to even figure out if Elvis was the father. A lot of those young girls, some as young as 13 and 14 years old, most likely just sunk back into the background and done whatever was necessary to do at the time. I imagine they also regretted what they done as well, but life goes on, and we all have to go on regardless of what mistakes we make in our life.
It still seems to me if a woman or a young girl was ever in the back seat of a car with Elvis or some other hidden place and became pregnant, it is still best never to tell the story about it. I for one, would never tell a story like that. It also was understood by most of his fans that things like this would ruin his reputation and career. It was a risk taken that fell solely upon the shoulders of the female.
Those who had to abort their Elvis babies and kept it all secret, probably all their life wonder from time to time what that baby looked like and was it a boy or a girl. It is one of those very dark secrets I imagine that is kept in the back of the closet of their minds, never to be revealed. When a girl has an abortion, she does not go in and say who the fetus actually belongs to. And many times even Elvis probably never knew all the children he actually fathered.
We all got those kind of skeletons in our closets that from time to time creep back into our minds for whatever reason, and many times, these kind of secrets are kept and taken to the grave.
I also think those who became pregnant by Elvis never forgot the place and time it occurred. That would be an awfully difficult think to forget in my opinion.
